What a Wonderful World

As I write this, I am grateful for my condition.  Very grateful, and I do not take it for granted. I am also VERY grateful for my family, friends and the country where I live.

All of us, at one time or another, have maybe said, “I could have been born in XXXXXX.” And by that we mean that our lives as children wouldn’t have been guaranteed due to malnutrition and poverty. Or perhaps born in a country where there is no freedom, or where women are less.

The world is wonderful to those that are fortunate enough to know health, freedom and prosperity. And those of us that have these conditions and attributes must be conscious of other’s plight.

Can we change the course of the world to where everyone has a chance? A chance to live freely, healthy and that gives the next generation a better life?

There are so many organizations that are trying to do work for the less privileged and I commend them. However, I am convinced that it must start with the one.

We need to break our de-sensitivity to conditions which we have created, that are  simply not good for the world. Once we start with ourselves, if we begin to be present, aware, and live in the Now…I believe we have a chance that maybe all can say:

What a Wonderful World
