BuDhaGirl Dads: Meet Jesse

As Father's Day approaches, everyone on the BuDhaGirl team is paying homage to their dear dads. Today, Twyla, our Marketing Associate, recognizes her father, Jesse.

Deep Ellum, Dallas, 1992

My dad is a force to be reckoned with. A business owner, a father of five, a Wharton business school graduate and a pole vaulting record-setter, he certainly knows how to make a statement. Sometimes he's ferocious, other times he's tenderhearted, but he always takes with him the greatest sense of humor and impeccable style.

Daddy Daughter Dance, Dallas, 1997

Along with my dad's strong personality comes his strong sense of style. I'll never forget his canary yellow Ferrari, the fedora he effortlessly wore during summers in the Hamptons, and the dapper pinstriped suit he sported to my high school graduation - it looked like he had walked right out of F. Scott Fitzgerald's imagination and into the present.

Hockaday Ring Day, Dallas, 2009

Aside from showing me how to make a sartorial statement, my dad engrained in me a love for luxury and a steadfast business mindset - after all, the two go hand in hand! My dad lead by example, showing a true dedication to his work and devising creative solutions when times were tough.

Barnard College, Columbia University Graduation, NYC, 2014

My favorite memories with my dad include car rides to school listening to the Beatles CD (this was a non-negotiable), dinners in NYC, where he would come visit me in college, and that time we slipped on ice while skiing, wiped out, and couldn't stop laughing.

My brother's graduation from Navy Bootcamp, Chicago, 2014

This Father's Day I honor my dad for the guidance, love and good memories he has given me throughout the years.

We love you, Daddy!
