Cathy's Journey

This week, in honor of the Caravan Collection, everyone on the BuDhaGirl team is talking about their own personal journey - whatever that may mean to them. Today, Cathy takes the wheel.

As a child, I wanted to be a hairstylist. I often took scissors to my doll’s hair and with equally disastrous results, my own. At University, I enrolled in the McCombs School of Business, but after two years felt the need to explore my creative side and transferred to the College of Natural Sciences to learn to draw, sew and create clothing.

After several years in retail, I went back to business. I have worked in various industries including catering, importing wine, legal recruiting, iron furniture manufacturing, more importing, candle making and then a non-profit educational society for dentists.  Feeling unfulfilled, I decided to take a break and look for career that offered the best of both worlds. I knew it was out there and that we would find each other.

And then, by a stroke of luck and destiny, I found BuDhaGirl. It is the perfect combination of business and creativity. Not only is the message positive, but the amazing, handmade jewelry helps people find calm, serenity and focus in this ever more demanding world. It has been a long journey to get where I am, but everything has led me here. I am blessed.
