BDG Team on Inner Beauty

What does inner beauty mean to you? How would you illustrate it?

Caryn: Confidence is beautiful. My mom always had so much confidence and was very secure with herself. She was not perfect, but chose to see above the flaws by staying focused on her strengths! A confident women is beautiful!

Julian: "If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” - Roald Dahl

Twyla: One of my favorite examples of inner beauty is Jane Goodall. In all of her photos in the field, she is stripped of all exterior artifice and embellishment so the inner beauty of her character and scientific study shines through. As she interacts with a young, wild chimpanzee in the jungles of Africa, she exhibits all of the qualities that make her profoundly beautiful: patience, kindness, understanding, intelligence, respect, intuition and compassion.

Elizabeth: Inner beauty is being yourself, being unique and straying from the crowd! Do what you love and what makes your heart happy, then your inner beauty can shine.

Bianca: Beauty is simply acceptance, love and support for all women of all shapes and sizes.
