Interaction

When discussing with the BuDhaGirl team the theme of inclusion, the word interaction came up several times. I took note and then decided to explore what interaction really means…

I believe that the team referred to interaction as the ability to commune with one another, to impact one another. I agree wholeheartedly that this is what we can do, and in fact what we do, do. However, in thinking about interaction I arrived at a much more granular definition, that of interaction is necessary for life itself.

Interaction occurs when the effect of our being results in impacting another. So simply being, just being affects others. And others means, other humans, our environment, our planet, and it might seem grandiose, but the universe itself.

The concept that we make a difference on such a large scale is hard to come to terms with, especially when we many times think of ourselves as insignificant; or perhaps not having the ability to make a difference or change things.

Not true my friend. You, by just being, are part of the wonderful cosmic interaction. We are all stardust. We are a product of beautiful, and still unexplainable interactions. It is unavoidable we are all part of the whole and of each other.

Everything we do counts, we count.

So…interaction is very important because it will define our lives and it will impact that of others. How you interact is up to you. Who do you want to be?
