Susie's take on Classic Fashion

I was recently on an aeroplane flying to New York and having seen every available film, I stumbled across a wonderful program, interviewing various well known people in fashion including the fashion director at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The subject of the program was " The ten important Classics in Fashion " and each of the several people interviewed had the same ten ! The list was as follows and not in level of importance, Simple Black Dress, White Tea Shirt , Macintosh , A Bra , Jeans , Red lipstick , stiletto shoes , Fedora Hat, The Birkin Bag, sunglasses by Ray Ban.

All of the above go through time and remain staples in most women's closets and, I certainly believe that Classic Design remains " in " at all times and to quote Lagerfeld " Trendy is the last stage before TACKY ' so with that said it is fun to think about the ten iconic fashion items on the list.
