A BuDhaGirl in Action || Kelly Snowden [Film Producer]
Continuing on with our attempt to answer the question we often run into "What kind of a woman is a BuDhaGirl?" we came up with this series- 'A BuDhaGirl in Action' to share with you the different types of women that we can proudly say are part of our tribe. These women are all different but the common thread shared by them and what makes them BuDhaGirls is that they are all intelligent, aware, curious, compassionate and pursue their dreams no matter what. Today, we want to introduce you to another favorite BuDhaGirl friend, Kelly Snowden of May '68 Productions, who is a film producer! What an exciting career, right? Not only is she sweet and stylish but also such a talented filmmaker. Kelly started her involvement in the film community as a film teacher and then pursued actual film-making. She and her award-winning cinematographer partner, the other half of May '68 Productions, have since produced two feature films, three short films, two music videos, several corporate videos, and are currently in pre-production for a few others which will be in production this summer/fall. Impressive, right? We saw their latest short film "The Outfit" , which has been in several film festivals, and loved it.
Kelly is a BuDhaGirl after our own hearts. She loves creating, she is brave to chase her dream so deliberately, she is kind, stylish and perseverant. Kelly loves variety, and boy does she get it through her multiple jobs in the film industry. As an editor, she loves turning people's photo memories into unique films and enjoys all the quiet editing time this entails as equally as she loves embracing all the chaos of being on-set and managing the craziness that goes with being a producer. She is an ace at managing different personalities, is patient and understanding and remains very loyal to the place which permitted her entry into the film community, the Dallas Texas theater.
Kelly adores her gold all-weather bangles, which she has worn down the red carpet. She is also a fan of the Rajasthani friendship bracelets, which she styles beautifully with the Nine Crystal Core Bangle. In general, Kelly enjoys mixing her BuDhaGirl treasures, like the white BuDhaBoy with the classic pieces she already owns like the vintage glass beads she is wearing which she found at an estate sale. What a great BuDhaGirl! We love how she has talent and style.
