BDG Journeys: Caryn's Move to Dallas

Sometimes journeys are metaphorical, and sometimes they are physical.

For this week's blog posts, we asked everyone on the BuDhaGirl Team to write about their journey - whatever that means to them. First up is Caryn Grimaud. Caryn moved to Dallas just last month and joined our team as the Sales Guru. Today, she tells the story of her journey from Georgia to Texas.

One day my family and I made a decision to create a life that we truly desire. That meant living where we are sounded by creativity, building the careers that energize us daily and allowing more time for the joyful moments. We released what no longer served us and created room for what inspires us.  Writing down our goals and affirmations each day, the manifesting began.

Fast forward 2 years.

We pulled out of our driveway in a 26-foot U-Haul, jam packed with all of our belongings and began our move from Georgia to Texas. With lots of "unknowns" ahead, the three of us were so excited to begin a new chapter in our lives that is completely written by us.

The adventure took us traveling over 900 miles on Interstate 20. We decided not to plan out the trip, but to just go with the flow and create it as we went along.  Stopping at fun tourist attractions, beautiful natural environments, and yummy local eateries and coffee shops. We did not want to rush, but just enjoy the small towns and countryside along the way.

The best part of the 3 day trip was just being present with my husband and son. We put the phones away, played games, laughed at silly jokes, and listened to our favorite songs.

Of course there are always a few bumps in the road - but nothing we couldn't handle. One flat tire, lost hotel keys, and a few wrong turns later, we made it to our destination.... Dallas, Texas.

We are home.
