Mom at 94

The Ever-Ready bunny has nothing on my mom. Nobody can believe it. Four years ago, she broke her wrist and pelvis. Recovered. Last year she broke her shoulder. Recovered. Not only recovered but healed quite nicely.

She goes to the doctor because her specialists are all these young, good-looking docs. They all tell her the same thing. “We don’t know what you do, but boy are you in great shape.” She proceeds to tell them exactly what she does…

She maintains that her good health is due to her daily discipline.
She exercises every day. Stretches and does PT movements to maintain her strength.
She eats very well. Breakfast, big lunch, light dinner.
She dresses and puts on her makeup every day.
She cooks for herself and many times cooks for me.
She helps BuDhaGirl, those beautiful ribbons, and tissue; chances are she cut them or folded them.
She talks to her two besties almost every single day.
She talks to my brother and I daily (me twice/day).
She is an iPad junkie.
She is up on the news, fashion, European royalty, chefs, and world events.
She mesmerizes people when she talks about her travels and experiences.

All I can tell you that if you live to be 94 years old, and are vibrant, healthy, and still, can at times ruffle people’s feathers (mostly mine)…I guess you can call yourself a Renaissance woman.
