AltaMed Gala: Power Up
Jessica was a proud co-chair of the AltaMed's star-studded event. AltaMed provides comprehensive, quality health care to communities in need. This year's AltaMed Gala "Power Up," benefitted underprivileged girls in California who do not have access to the American Dream.
Over the course of the evening, generous donors raised over one million dollars for AltaMed's Empowerment Programs for Girls and Youth, and the Eve Branson Foundation.
The Power Up Gala was attended by 800 influential, civic-minded people. The event featured a special message by First Lady Michelle Obama, performances by Janelle Monáe and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Red Birds, and presentations honoring Eve Branson, Peppita Serrano, Julie Ann Crommett, Dr. Robert Adler, Maitte Perroni, and La Santa Cecelia.
At each place setting, guests were treated to a set of BuDhaGirl gold All Weather Bangles featuring an exclusive affirmation designed for the event. The affirmation reads as follows:
As you might have guessed, the black tie event was a sartorial scene! Jessica wore a Dolce & Gabbana Runway bejeweled lace blouse and a flared, floor-length skirt by Roberto Cavalli. The outfit was accessorized with an intricate, vintage belt and stacks of BuDhaGirl bangles on either wrist, of course!
Thank you AltaMed for including us at this special event. BuDhaGirl is grateful to play a role in inspiring and empowering young women with great potential.
