"If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands?" - Milton Berle
Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday, May 13th. Whether you're celebrating your mother, grandmother, stepmother, sister, aunt, coworker, friend or yourself this Mother's Day, it's the perfect time to recognize and be grateful for all of the maternal figures in your life.
There are a million reasons to admire mothers, and a million lessons we can learn from them. Mothers have in common an unmatched ability to multitask. As Milton Berle suggests, they are responsible for so much, yet somehow get it all done. Mothers can accomplish many things with such grace and humbleness that sometimes their efforts go unnoticed. Even worse, sometimes their efforts are taken for granted.
Set an intention this Mother's Day to actively change that pattern. How can you take a little time out of every day to be present and show the mothers in your life (yourself included) your gratitude for all that they do?
