Set goals: First thing in the morning, set your goals for the day. This will serve as a guideline to keep you centered and focused.
Create reminders: Remind yourself to be present, grateful and mindful with a choice reminder. Whether it’s an All Weather Bangle or a simple quote on a sticky note, choose something that grabs your attention most!
Be present: Even when you perform mundane tasks such as dialing the phone, or washing your hands, be present. These little moments strung together result in a more mindful day.
Eliminate distractions: Turn off your cellphone, and a create specific window for checking emails in order to stay completely focused on your single task at hand.
Do one thing at a time: Multitasking negatively effects your productivity. Do one thing at a time in order to do your best work.
Take breaks: Always keep in mind that when you slow down, you’re able to speed up.
Accept what you can’t change: There’s no use in ruminating on what you can’t change. If something doesn’t go as planned, simply accept it and move on so you don’t get caught dwelling in the past.
Show appreciation: An appreciative person is a mindful person. Show your appreciation for your job, your office and those around you by keeping your workspace clean, holding open the door, giving a compliment to another… the possibilities are endless.
Be grateful: At the end of the day, be grateful. Be grateful for your job, your home, your family, your coworkers, and for what you’ve accomplished.
