If You Do What Interests You

Do what you love.

“If you always do what interests you, at least one person is pleased.” - Katherine Hepburn

People get this funny-worried look on their face when I begin a conversation by: If I get hit by a bus (or Bentley) tomorrow, then what…? And I then proceed to say that we must live each and every day as if it were our very last; and part of living that way is working/doing something that we love every day.

So, what if you are not the next billionaire? So, what if you want to be a forester, an under-water basket weaver, teach English to Mongolian children, or cook chocolate in its 1001 variations? Do it. Because chances are that if you are passionate about what you do, even the rough and bumpy spots in your journey will be mere inconveniences.

You my dear friend, will plug along with a smile on your face and an incredible sense of accomplishment…what’s even better…an incredible sense of you.
